Sebastian Deutsch has done a nice experiment with HTML5, Canvas Sound and Tweets. Sounds like Bullshit-Bingo, but it is indeed just an experiment, which appeals a little bit to flashs's supremacy in Audio-Visualization.
Oh, btw: it interacts with the mouse too. Just click the image to see it in full flavour.

Well this is exactly what you feel , when you're trying to implement some nice animations on a modern designed website via css and jQuery:

It all seems to start when you photoshop a little too much
When i started to design this website, i wanted it to be as accessible and as near the standards as i could do it, without making too much compromises to my design. Soon enough it became clear that the too much part became any
.
So it seems i've lost IE6 on my way, where the page looks horrible due to the missing PNG-Support of that browser.
Which is not too bad, since in Opera 9.x, Safari 3.x and FF 3.x it looks and behaves all the same.
FF2 simply doesn't do 'display:inline-block' correctly, so the navigation looks a bit weird, some other parts do look bad too, but at least the site is accessible. I don't care THAT much for these 2 (IE6 and FF2), since patch supoport for FF2 end this december, and IE6 ...
Only IE7 has some unaesthetic things to show, due to the fact that the IE-Team has not been able to implement the PNG-Standard correctly/naturally after how many years ?
IE7 still uses it's propietary filter extensions to render PNG's with an alpha-channel. It simply isn't able to use 2 or more filters at the same time. duh!
I don't blame IE7 for that, since it does some other things very well. And since it's only minor visual ‚corrosion‘ (only after some transitions) i can live with that.
On the other hand: If this would have been a paid job, you can imagine how that would have affected my design. Note to myself: „don't ever expect anything from IE. EVAR!“ - wait: add FF2 to the list too.
On a sidenote: i'm trying to constantly evolve this page, so things might get worse or better
