<p><a class="fancy" href="http://onenterframe.de/wp-content/uploads/2011/06/html5-topper1.png"><img class="size-medium wp-image-16551 alignleft" title="html5-topper" src="http://onenterframe.de/wp-content/uploads/2011/06/html5-topper1-320x216.png" alt="" width="256" height="173" /></a>And i&#8217;ve just stumbled on <a href="http://paperjs.org/">paperjs</a>.<br /> paperjs is born out of a project called <a href="http://scriptographer.org/" target="_blank">Scriptographer</a>, which is definately not where i&#8217;m you pointing at.<br /> It&#8217;s a framework for drawing in canvas which it has great potential to <a href="http://www.bit-101.com/blog/?p=3256">kick</a> <a href="http://box2d-js.sourceforge.net/">someones</a> <a href="http://code.google.com/p/canto-js/">ass</a>.<span id="more-16399"></span></p>
<p>What i really like about it is it&#8217;s simplicity in terms of reading. Ok, maybe it&#8217;s the fact that they really tried to do it the Flash way. But i&#8217;m fine with that, Flash has long proven it&#8217;s strength and power. Since i don&#8217;t like to use Flash anymore mostly due to it&#8217;s closiness and javaness, i&#8217;m really happy that there&#8217;ll soon be alternatives &#8211; at least for small projects.</p>
<p>But watch it for yourself:</p>
<p><a class="fancy iframe w_1000 h_600" href="http://paperjs.org/examples/tadpoles/"><img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-513" src="http://onenterframe.de/wp-content/uploads/2011/06/Tadpoles1.gif" alt="" width="258" height="203" /></a></p>
<p>And in their own words:</p>
<blockquote>
<p>Paper.js — The Swiss Army Knife of Vector Graphics Scripting.<br /> Paper.js is an open source vector graphics scripting framework that runs on top of the HTML5 Canvas. It offers a clean Scene Graph / Document Object Model and a lot of powerful functionality to create and work with vector graphics and bezier curves, all neatly wrapped up in a well designed, consistent and clean programming interface.</p>

Oh, btw: it interacts with the mouse too. Just click the image to see it in full flavour.<br />
